DGND3700 product is the most powerful and full featured DSL router compared to any DSL wireless router in the market today. With a Dual core processor, it does many of similar tasks as other routers, but simply does it 2-3 times faster.
I believe there is DD-WRT or Open-WRT (can't remember which) for the DGND3700v1, however it does not support the ADSL modem as I recall. The other 3rd party firmware I refered to above not only supports the ADSL modem, it also adds back the VDSL support that Netgear provided in the original firmware (that is not available), but later removed.
